3 Signs It’s Time to Resole Your Birkenstocks

If you love your Birks, resoling on time keeps them comfortable—and saves money. Here are three clear signs it’s time to resole:

1) Slick or flattened tread
If the outsole pattern is smooth or you’re slipping on wet floors, the rubber is worn out. Resoling restores grip and adds miles to your sandals.

2) Uneven heel wear
Check the heel edges. If one side is noticeably lower, you’re wearing through the sole and stressing the cork footbed. A resole evens the platform and prevents further damage.

3) Cork damage or exposed layers
Small cork chips happen, but if you can see deeper layers or the footbed edge is crumbling, you’ll need both a resole and fresh cork seal to stop the wear.
